Our Mission
The mission of Lake Asbury Learning Center is to provide a loving, safe, nurturing, and stimulating daycare environment in which each child can learn.
We achieve this mission through the following:
- Our teachers are at the top in their field
- We have a low teacher to child ratio
- Our facilities are modern and spacious with ample classes and activity areas
- We have well equipped recreation and playground areas
- We offer a safe and secure environment with security cameras in all buildings
Florida VPK
Here at Lake Asbury Learning Center we have an integrated approach to teaching our four year olds the skills necessary to be successful in Kindergarten. Our play daycare's based program incorporates both child initiated and teacher directed activities in a developmentally appropriate setting that allows each child to learn and explore. Our teachers are very familiar with the State of Florida standards and we adapt our teaching to the standards based on the needs of the students. We administer a state assessment at the beginning of our program, and again in January to monitor growth and see where we can fine tune teaching. We administer a final assessment at the end of the program. These final scores are a good indication of how well children will do once in Kindergarten.
